a sad day

Today is such a sad day for my family. My daughter is a Freshman and is on the school volleyball team. It's off season right now so some of the girls are playing club volleyball and some are helping with the middle school volleyball program. My daughter is helping at the middle school. Last night at the club volleyball practice one of the players collapsed and passed away. My daughter is taking it hard of course. These girls practice and play together almost all year and they are all very close. We spent most of the evening at the hospital with the team and parents. It's so hard to loose such a young, vibrant teenage. DD went on to school today. The team will not have classes today and instead will spend the day with friends, grief counselors and their pastors. She has her cell phone with her and has already sent several texts this morning. It makes me feel better knowing she can reach me so easily and if today becomes overwhelming for her I will pick her up. If you pray I would like to ask that you say a prayer for my daughter, her friends and teammates, and the family that has lost their daughter.
